A Night at the Movies

It's Friday, thank goodness, and the first full work week in three weeks is about over. I'm looking forward to getting some writing done this weekend. Tonight is girls' night out with my friends and we're planning to go see The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. I've heard good things about this film, so I'm excited to see it.

And, of course, my favorite actor, Daniel Craig, has
a new film coming out called Defiance that looks exceptionally good. IMDB has this short blurb on it: "Three Jewish brothers escape from Nazi-occupied Poland into the Belarussian forest, where they join Russian resistance fighters and endeavor to build a village in order to protect themselves and others in danger." Yep. Looks like my kind of film!

Have you watched any good movies lately?

  1. Oh, I want to see Ben Button so badly! I hope you have an awesome time!

Hubby and I have been watching a lot of movies at home, and I was really impressed by Evan Almighty with Steve Carell (he's my absolute favorite!). When it first came out (a couple years ago), I had no interest. But it was really well done and I took many warm messages from it.

  2. Just so you know...Benjamin Button is almost three hours long so be ready for some breaks.

As for the Daniel Craig movie, that thing looks awesome. I can't wait to see it.

  9. Today was Girls' Day Out here! We went to the beach for a few hours, love walking on a winter beach, did some shopping too. Fun times. Tomorrow we're watching In Her Shoes, never saw it before, and it's supposed to be snowing, so a good time to stay in with a movie. Enjoy your Girls' Night Out!

  10. Go see Seven Pounds. Very good (and you won't figure out the entire plot in the first 5 minutes as usual). Haven't I seen that DC picture somewhere recently?

  11. That picture is very distracting - I keep seeing it everytime I pop in to see Debs and find myself staring at it for several seconds each time :-)

  15. I really liked The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. It was definitely a different kind of movie, but it was brilliantly done, IMO. Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett were both wonderful. It's long, but you really don't care - I was completely caught up in the story.

I love to hear from you!

What a Difference a Day (or Two) Made...

Dinah Washington sings a wonderful tune called "What a Difference a Day Made." While the lyrics are romantic in nature, it perfect...
