A Success!

The party was great. Hubby looked absolutely smashing in a dark blue shirt, black sports coat, black Dockers, and black shoes. Woo-eee! I didn't want to let him out of my sight!

I bought a pretty black shawl to go with my dress and I felt like a princess last evening. I have pictures, but you'll have to be patient for me to develop the film! (Yes, I hinted to hubby that I wanted a digital camera for Christmas!!!)

Hubby and I did a duet of Patsy Cline's "Crazy" - but it ended up being more of a solo since hubby was a little tipsy! LOL

But that brings to mind another thought...I don't miss the party scene at all. In fact, I rather enjoy being sober when everyone around me is drunk. That way I know exactly what I did that evening and exactly what everyone else did, as well!

I'm looking forward to a three-day work week. I get Thursday and Friday off! And no, I won't be spending my four-day weekend shopping. *shudder* I'm thinking of buying everything online this year.

Hope you all had a great weekend!

  1. So glad you had a great time! I love the song "Crazy". :)

  2. Mel, sounds like everything worked out right. See, you were meant to have that dress, with the return policy of the store and all.

On the party scene, I don't even drink anymore. I get terrible headaches from beer and hard alcohol makes my stomach ill.

  3. Yaaaayy - now go get the film developed already. I want to SEEEEEEE you and your dh all spiffed up :-) AND the dress, of course.

I know what you mean about the party scene. I drink enough to feel happy, then change to soda water. Like you, I don't want surprises in the morning. OR a hangover *g*.

    Enjoy your short week!

  4. Sounds like you had fun, but I'm with you, the whole going out and getting liquored got pretty old after 30. Now I usually stay sober and make fun of the others which provides endless entertainment!

  5. I'm so glad you had a great time! And... Patsy Cline's "Crazy" is my #1 favorite song of all time!

Can't wait to see your pictures!

  6. I brought my camera to work today - maybe I'll take a bunch of pics of my co-workers to use up the film so I can go get it developed. I can't wait to see the pics, too!

  7. I'm glad the party went well. I can't wait to see the pictures! And you're so brave to sing in pubic! I can carry a tune, but that's about it, and I'd probably fall completely flat in front of actual people.

  8. Glad the party went well--I don't miss the party scene either--but it is nice to get out occassionally :D

And I love a tipple at Christmas (must get the gin and bailey's and sherry in)!!!

I love to hear from you!

It's Time

I've had this blog for over 10 years. But I'm finding that I go to it less and less. Maybe it's the death of blogging that broug...
