Happiness Is...

There's nothing like a day full of editing. Thankfully, work was slow yesterday and I was able to squeeze in a bit of editing time on my short story. I couldn't wait to get home, fire up the computer, and keep working. And that's exactly what I did.

Ah...bliss.

I hope to wrap it up today ,and I plan to submit it this weekend. That's what I like about the short story - it's done within a few days.

Still no snow here - highs have been in the 50's and low 60's. Unusual for Nebraska during December.

No big weekend plans, either, except to maybe wrap up the Christmas shopping and indulge in a good movie or two.

Happy Friday!

  1. Glad your editing is going so well :-)

We're supposed to go out to a party tonight, but it all depends on whether the venue has power. Hmmm. And tomorrow we're going to see friends for dinner - IF they have power. Seeing a theme here?

I have to wrap presents today!!

  5. Robin - Oh, I am SO ready for a little Christmasy weather! Even if it snows on Christmas Eve and melts Christmas Day evening, that's fine with me.

  7. I too have been on the editing trek and it's so rewarding to watch a book become tighter, more cohesive, woven beautifully together. All the best of luck in your journey : )

  11. Best of luck on the short story, Melissa. That's a genre I often overlook, but when I find a good short story, I just love it. Here's hoping to read yours sometime!
