In the Mood

It was a good weekend. Activities included shopping for a new couch and dining room set (and we found both!), visiting with my dad and his girlfriend, visiting the natural history museum, laundry, and just relaxing. I wish I could have done a little bit more of the last item, but unfortunately, the weekend is only two days long. I still think we should ban Mondays as part of the work week.

I'm really excited to get started on the BIAW - to turn off that internal editor and just write! If I could only have this attitude every time I sat down to write, who knows where I'd be? ;-) I'm at a great point in my book, too, and I can't wait to tackle the upcoming scenes. I just need to remember to write and not think too much.

If you'd like to participate in BIAW, head on over to Villa in Tuscany and sign up. You'll be glad you did! But if you can't make it this time, don't worry - we'll have another one in September.

  1. I had to laugh when I saw your blog title. My sister had be downloading song requests for her wedding and In The Mood came in from the mother of her best friend. The song has been going thru my head ever since!

    Good luck with the BIAW!

  3. I had the exact same thought as Kelly re the title of today's post - especially as your theme is WWII :-)
ITM is a fave for Sean and me (he's a Big Band fan).

Glad you had a good weekend!

I wholeheartedly endorse your suggestion that Mondays become part of the weekend. This one has been entirely too long! Good luck with your BIAW :)

  5. I might be able to do BIAW in September. Maybe. I'm not sure. Can you use a book you already have in progress?

How can you possibly write an entire book in a week? Is it supposed to be a novella? I've done 30,000 words in a week before, but my novels are four times that length.

    What gives?;-)
