Whoops!

I just devoured a quarter pounder from McDonald's. In my defense, I had little to eat at lunch and I haven't had one of their quarter pounders for awhile. AND I'm going to work out tonight.

Now I have eater's remorse. Is that a word? Eater? Well, you know what I mean.

I did go work out last night and I will go tonight...so I guess it's not TOO awful that I caved and got something from Micky D's.

I also managed to write another page last night, do laundry, and spend time with hubby.

I tell ya, though, I get really tired of having limited time in the evenings. My perfect world would be to get off work at 3 p.m. and be home when the kids get home. I'd have a few more hours to get stuff done without cramming it into 6-10 p.m., which often spills over past 11 p.m.

See? I told you I'm getting antsy! I sense a change looming on the horizon...

  1. Sigh...I had a Lean Cuisine and an apple. It sucked. The girls at my husband's office gave Thing half a cheeseburger and fries from McD's. I had to bit my lip not to take the fries from her.

  2. I wanted to buy a 1/2 gallon of ice cream at the grocery store tonight, but then remembered the vampire costume I need to get into at the RT Convention...

    I came home ice creamless.

  3. I'm suffering eaters remorse too. Of everything. I'm having one of those weeks where I can't seem to STOP eating. I've decided starting Sunday I'm doing the Rapid Start thing Dr Phil has in his book. I tried that before and it worked like a charm. I just have to stick with it...that's the hard part. Ugh.

  4. Sometimes we just have to give into our cravings. If we deny them completely, the lapse when we finally cave will be really major. And since you were going to the gym later, you cancelled it out!

But I know what you mean about eater's remorse.

  5. Funny how you only get it AFTER the burger!! Why couldn't it be 'checking out MacDonald's' remorse!! Not enough hours in the day--I hear you!!

  6. Rene - Many is the time I've eyed my daughter's half-eaten hamburger and wanted to devour it, too.

Dana - my weakness over the summer is Ben and Jerry's lowfat frozen yogurt, the Chocolate Fudge Brownie kind. I can see the temptation already looming on the horizon...

Kelly, I've had weeks like that where I can't stop eating. I wonder if it's our body's way of telling us that we need the extra energy (but why does it need to come with extra weight?)

Tess - You're right. If I deny my cravings completely, I'd be a mess.

Toni - When I sat at the drive through at McDonald's, I thought, get chicken. NOT the hamburger. Unfortunately, that little voice wasn't strong enough!

mmmmmburger! Sometimes, you just have to do that. I've found if you refuse yourself everything, you end up resenting the diest and just about everything and everybody else. :)

    Yay for writing!

  8. AE - If I'm craving something, I've just determined that I need it at that moment. Yesterday I didn't have any chocolate AT ALL. That is just plain weird. But I didn't crave it. I craved the darn cheeseburger instead.
