I love Fridays. I love that I have two days coming up where I don't have to worry about getting up early and heading to the office. I love the promise of uninteruppted writing time. I love lounging around in my comfy clothes, listening to my music, and just relaxing.
What is your favorite thing to do on the weekend?

All right. Enough with the down-in-the dumps posts. I realized that I had way too many of them in the past few weeks and I am bumming myself...
I love not going to work. I love relaxing. I love unplanned time. I love getting caught up and ready for the next week.
ReplyDeleteI love that you actually have "uninterrupted writing time"! My weekends are usually a blur of cleaning/building something with the only benefit being I don't have to get ready. Part of that is since I got remarried, because my hubby never stops. I do remember when it was just me and my daughter and during those years I did allow myself relaxation time because there was no one else to care but me. If I wanted to pull towels out of a laundry basket for a week, so be it! Can't get away with that anymore. LOL!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the idea of sleeping in; not having to get up early and feed/scoot the school kidlet out the door. But both my kids have internal alarms that wake them up early, anyway. LOL
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend!
Heather - Me, too. If I don't relax over the weekend, the next week is very long and stressful.
ReplyDeleteSharla - Yeah, I leave clothes in the laundry basket unfolded all the time! :-)
Janna - Fortunately, my daughter has the same internal clock of me and we both love to sleep in late and stay up late!
I like hanging out with my family, maybe taking daytrips, check out coffeeshops, or just be home with a fire in the fireplace, or have a movie night. Easy stuff like that.
ReplyDeleteI just enjoy hanging out at home with no real agenda. Just me, hubby and the dogs.

ReplyDeleteI love that I don't have to worry about searching for jobs, or paying bills etc! lol I love that I can be lazy and go to church to see people I know!
ReplyDeleteI love hanging out with my family. Hopefully, we aren't rushing around trying to get homework done or be lots of places.
ReplyDeleteI love the fact I can wake up two days in a row and not worry about fixing lunches in the morning. Or fighting with the kids to get them ready for school.
ReplyDeleteJoanne - That's what I love about simple weekends. Simplicity!
ReplyDeleteLinda - I LOVE not having an agenda. It's so freeing to me.
Terri - Oh yes! Being lazy! That is what weekends are for! :-)
Debbie - Hanging with the family is perfect for weekends.
Rene - Hear ya on that one. I love not having to get my daughter ready for school. Sleeping in and waking up to a lazy day is such a nice break from the routine.
I love when there's is absolutely nothing on my calendar, which rarely happens, but is nice to think about. Also love the nappage! :) Hope your fingers got to dance long on the keyboard.
ReplyDeleteI love the opportunity to relax with my family combined with the extra time I usually get to write. Weekends are my favorite part of the week. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you have nothing on your calendar very soon, Angie! You deserve a nice, long break. :-)
ReplyDeleteJenn - I love the extra time to write, too! It's so nice.
