"Don't tell me the moon is shining; show me the glint of light on broken glass. " ~ Anton Chekhov "Writing makes a person very vulnerable. It opens you to public criticism, to ridicule, to rejection. But it also opens conversation and thought. It stirs minds, and touches hearts. It brings us into contact with our souls. So how can it possibly be a waste of time, an idle act, a mistake, a betrayal of truth? Who can possibly tell us not to do it?"
~Joan Chittister, Order of Saint Benedict
That last one is a wood duck. I think they are the prettiest of all American waterfowl.
ReplyDeleteTravis - I agree. Gorgeous creature. It looks like he's posing for me.
ReplyDeleteI don't know who looks like they're having more fun, the ducks or the little beauty!
ReplyDeleteDuck. Duck. GOOSE!
ReplyDeleteAng - Oh, she was having a blast! We ran out of bread too soon. :-)
ReplyDeleteJanna - Haha! There were some wild geese at the pond later, but by that time, we didn't have any food left.
Awesome pictures Melissa!!!
ReplyDeleteI wish my kids were there too! They would have loved it!
Lovely photos. My children used to love to go feeding the ducks at a nearby manor house when they were small.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like spring there!! How fun:)
ReplyDeleteEll - Hopefully your daughters will get to feed the ducks someday soon!
ReplyDeleteDebs - The ducks here are just across the street at a small lake. My daughter just loves it.
Terri - It was definitely a warm day! But I'm not quite ready for spring yet. :-)
