I'm Being Brave

Ok. So hubby says that I look like a librarian with my glasses - that I look, well, intellectual. I say I look intellectual with or without my glasses. Heh. So here's the test. Here's a pic of me with the darn spectacles and here's a pic of me with my contacts in.

What do you think? (BTW - I much prefer myself without glasses - but that's probably just a vanity thing).

oh, I like without glasses. But I could so see you with some kind of glasses that just scream GLASSES! That would look cool too.

  2. You have very pretty eyes and they're harder to see with the glasses -- but you've also got a very glamorous look in the second photo too. You are just beautiful. :)

  5. Awwww, you guys are making me blush! Thanks so much!

I admit, when I was in high school and finally got my contacts, the boys paid a lot more attention. ;-)

  6. Pretty eyes! I can see why you like to go without glasses. But I agree with Kacey--a pair of really cool glasses would look smashing, too. (Not that I've anything against the wire-frames -- I wear them, myself.)

It's amazing how much more we get noticed in our contacts, isn't it? I'm just now getting to the stage where I choose comfort over vanity...

  7. Christine - I went without contacts for the last few years because my eyes were allergic to them - it was affecting my eyesight. Late last year, though, my doc said I could wear the disposable contacts, so I went ahead and got a pair. I wore them to work quite a bit, but now I'll alternate days. If my eyes feel tired in the morning, I'll just wear my glasses. I think I'm sacrificing vanity for comfort, too! But it is nice to have the option of wearing contacts whenever I want to (like on dates with hubby!).

I always think glasses make people look older, but not in your case...and yes, you look smart in BOTH pics :)

  9. Yes, you look like a librarian with the glasses. :o)

I've never, ever fancied contact lenses. I think it's the thought of putting something inside my eye. But I can get by without glasses for anything other than distance, and I hate wearing them. So maybe if I had to wear them all the time I might have considered it.

  10. Yes, very intellectual with the glasses. Without the glasses, hmm. It looks as if you're waiting for Hugh or Pierce or Sean or Harrison or Daniel or someone like that to knock at the door. Pierce hasn't dropped by, has he?

I think you look great both ways.

  12. Hahaha, Shirley! I haven't forgotten our agreement - if Pierce happens to stop by, I'm sending him straight to you - as long as you do the same with Mr. Craig. ;-)

I think it's the style of the glasses that can make you look more intellectual(serious, studious, whatever). When I have to wear glasses I wear vintage catseyes with rhinestones. That really prevents me from looking too serious :)
You definitely look more glamorous in the second photo and your pretty eyes are more noticeable.

  14. Thanks, Theresa. :-) I am thinking of getting a new pair of glasses and the vintage look is definitely a consideration. :-)
