Yeah, I'm a Little Excited

Ken Burns, the incredibly talented documentary film maker, is launching his latest masterpiece on September 23, 2007. Simply entitled The War, this seven-part series is about World War II from the perspective of four American towns as well as the soldiers fighting overseas. It promises to be a must-see event.

  1. I used to work for CPB, was business affairs attorney there, and handled grant monies for Ken Burns' company Florentine Films when they were producing episodes for American Experience and the series Jazz. I worked with Ken's brother Rick and his wife back when they were just starting to get big. (Never dealt with Ken because he was always on the road!) I think the idea of doing this series is over ten years old. The man has great vision and incredible talent. I can't wait to see it.
