Christmas Is Coming!

Wow. It's December 1st already. How did that happen?

The majority of my Christmas shopping is done - hooray! Now all that's left to do is wrap the presents, decorate the house, and put up the tree. But I'm just not in that Christmas spirit yet.

I'm sure I'll get there.

Have you started decorating the house for Christmas? Started listening to Christmas music?

  1. I've wrapped the grand total of 2 presents. Why does Christmas always creep up on us?

  2. The decorating is about to begin. I don't do much, a tree for sure and my snowmen collection. I have a village of houses that I think I'll put up this year. We got the outside lights out yesterday too!

I love Christmas music. It is so cheerful and uplifting so YES I've been listening to it since the beginning of Nov.!

We aren't decorating this year--husband had surgery and can't lift.

  4. I've started a lot of the baking for gifts, I have my lists for shopping, I've bought some already.

I have movers coming on Thursday to do a furniture swap, so I've got boxes everywhere and furniture at sixes and sevens; until that's sorted, it doesn't make sense to decorate. I usually start on the First of Advent - -the Sunday after Thanksgiving -- so it feels weird not to have my "stuff" up.

  6. I haven't gotten in the mood yet, but it usually doesn't strike me until I get the tree. Which will be...oh, any day now.

  7. And my birthday is a mere 109 days away. I've started but still need to buy and hang lights outside.

  8. Put on the Christmas music for the first time yesterday. Everything else...well, we'll see how it goes.
(How's that for Christmas spirit?) :)
