Still deep in editing land, but thought I'd share a few photos with you of our short vacation (and some gratuitous cat photos!). We went to Worlds of Fun in Kansas City and had a blast! As a Snoopy collector, Planet Snoopy was the best possible place to be, especially the Snoopy Boutique, a store FILLED with Snoopy and Peanuts merchandise!

Hubby and my daughter just before our first ride.

We won the tiger!

Me, hot and sweaty, but happy!

The Mamba roller coaster - hubby went on this. Daughter and I elected to keep our feet on the ground!

The Mecca for Snoopy lovers!

Oh my gosh...a whole store dedicated to Snoopy and the gang!

By this time, she was getting tired...

I could barely walk through here without snatching everything off the shelves!

Love this dog!

We did not attempt this ride. We were all too chicken!

Cheesey tourist photo.
Look at the concentration!

Yet another ride we did not attempt...

Slick, the ever-growing kitten, loves to cuddle.

Exhibit B - loves to cuddle!

Ack! This may be going too far...

  1. What lovely pictures. You all obviously had a fantastic time.

  2. Hey, thanks so much for your comment ~ I'm lovin' your new look!

Your outing looked like loads of fun ~ we totally need some of that R&R around here!
What a cutie pie you have there, Exhibit B is just too sweet!

  3. Looks like you had a wonderful time! Fun to see pictures of you and your family. :)

Great photos! I have fond memories of Worlds of Fun. We used to go every year when Jaime was little.

  5. what a fabulous day!

  6. Debs - We had a GREAT time. Thankfully, the weather wasn't that bad. It was hot, but not unbearably so.

Hi Sharon! Thanks for stopping by! I hope you get some R&R at your place. :-)

Linda - My daughter is already asking me when we can go back. lol

Betty - I think this may become an annual trek for us, as well!

Flowerpot - It certainly was. :-)

  7. How fun! I love the picture of you and Snoopy! Together at last. ;)
    My Blog

  8. Catherine - LOL! You said it perfectly!

  9. How crazy that you are a Snoopy collector! How fun too! I LOVE roller coasters, and as I was looking at the pics and you said you skipped those rides, I just drooled. I would love to spend a day at a roller coaster park and go on every one at least twice. I did that once with Alexis about 12 years ago in California! I love cats too!

  10. Sandi - Next time you come down to Lincoln to visit your daughter, you should make a detour to Worlds of Fun! :-)

  11. Ah, what a darling kitty! And daughter! I love the picture with her intense concentration :)

I didn't realize it until I saw your photos, but I love Snoopy too, and I miss him! But Calvin and Hobbes are my favorite cartoon characters.

Re: your comment on my map post - have you seen the HistoMap of World History? (since I know you are a lover of history!)

  12. Margo - No, I haven't! Is it a website or book or...? And yeah, Calvin and Hobbes is one of my favorite comic strips, too. I so wish he wouldn't have retired...

  13. Oh what fun! And I bet you were a giggling little girl in that Snoopy store. Slick is sooo cute!!! Yes, I'm back!!!

  14. Hugs, my dear! I've been thinking about you guys! I love these pictures:)

  15. Great pictures, what a lovely time you all had! And that kitty, well, now that's a cat!

  16. Looks like you had a fun day! My cat used to sleep in the sink too:)) lOL

  17. Bailey - Glad to see you back!

Valerie - Hope things are going well!

Anna - Oh, he is a cat in every sense of the word. Always moving and playing and getting into trouble. :-)

Terri - Glad you enjoyed the pictures. :-)

  18. I'm wait late to this. I had a holiday myself but, sadly, didn't get to Planet Snoopy. I am so jealous!

    Great pictures. Thanks for sharing.
