Nature Walk

After a rousing game of UNO last night, my daughter and I decided to venture outside. It was absolutely gorgeous. We saw baby ducks, black birds, blue jays, rabbits, and all kinds of dogs walking with their owners on the walking path.

My daughter indulged in some jump-roping (and I tried it out myself) and we took our time looking at the piles of cotton that had settled on the ground from the cottonwood trees, studied dropped feathers, looked at forming pinecones, and laughed and talked and laughed some more.

I'll leave you with some photos for this Friday post. Have a wonderful weekend!

  1. Nature walks, what great soul-restoratives! More of those during your "lull" I hope. Great photos, BTW.

  2. Beautiful, happy photos! I love to walk, it's so beneficial in so many ways. What an amazing walking path you have there, with great scenery. If I lived there, I'd be walking on that path all the time. Enjoy your weekend.

I love the photos too! They're gorgeous! The duckies are my fav. I can't help it. All those tiny little webbed feet just churning up water and bums waggling back and forth. Who can resist a duckling?

  9. Were you still able to jump rope. I see people at the YMCA doing it, but I'm too chicken to see if I still can.

Beautiful ducklings - and your daughter also.
