But I could certainly go for a stay in Italy with my Italian relatives. One of them posts pictures on Facebook all the time of Volpiano in the Piedmont region of northern Italy (where my grandfather's family is from) and the surrounding countryside. It looks absolutely gorgeous. Plus the food! Oh, the food...I would love to be able to have some traditional Italian dishes that I've been enjoying for years that are actually MADE in Italy.

I wouldn't mind England or Scotland or Ireland, either. But I'm not sure that they are much warmer than we are! Of course, I did hear today that it was colder in Colorado than it was in the North Pole. That's a little frightening.
I think I could easily go to the south of France. It's warmer there during the winter, isn't it? That sounds like a good idea to me...
If you could go anywhere in the world right now, where would it be?
One of my best friends lives in Falkenberg, Sweden. I'd go there. Today, Falkenberg's high was 45 degrees. By comparison, the high here was 13 below. It seems almost wrong that Sweden is so much warmer than Illinois, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteIlene, that is crazy that Sweden is warmer than us! Wow! Stay warm there in Illinois!
DeleteGermany's nice but sure it's much warmer at this time of year. I'd definitely go to Italy if I had to chose Europe.
ReplyDeleteI've only been to England, so I definitely want to go to mainland Europe. :)
DeleteItaly is one place I have always wanted to visit, too! The food (of course), the architecture, wine, people, the beauty...Of course, I'll have to wait for a cruise to get there, but a gal can dream.
ReplyDeleteIt being -3 with a "Real Feel" of 31 below outside, I'd take Italy...or St. Lucia. Hubby & I honeymooned there, and we were just talking about it the other night. And I'm sure it's warm and sunny! ;)
Actually, after yesterday, I would strongly consider a trip to the Caribbean!
DeleteI would love to go to Italy and France and also Scotland. It's in our long term plans (dreams), so here's hoping.
ReplyDeleteI hope those temperatures lift for you soon.
Much better today - going to be above freezing at least!
DeleteI hope that you are able to go to your dream destinations some day. :)
I hope you get to both Italy and Germany. And I love the southern carribbean beaches and waters!
ReplyDeleteSandi, I'm very hopeful we'll be able to travel there some day - it's definitely on my To Do list. :)
