We Don't Get Vacations

Do you agree or disagree?

  1. Agree, absolutely! And 99% of the time, I don't want a vacation from writing. Because writing IS my vacation :)

    1. Hi Lisa! Thanks for stopping by! There are many times I think of writing as my vacation, too, especially when I'm stuck at the dayjob. :)

  2. Disagree, currently. There are plenty of times where I just live, play with my nephew, watch movies, work in the yard, cooking, etc., and don't think about any of my current stories. (And during the 8-5 job, of course, there's no time to think about writing.) I would have agreed with this statement about five years ago when I did not live near family and life was all about writing, but now, alas, no. :-D

    1. I can completely understand that one. For me, it's always in the back of my mind. It's the "I should be writing" guilt trip sometimes, and other times it's the, "I can't wait to get home and write!" :)

  4. Oh my goodness I completely agree, especially after just having spent a weekend away; I was thinking a little about the WIP, but also about a new idea that sprung to life from right where I was. Writers can't shut down their brains; the plots just keep spinning... :)))

Thanks for the Meme tag; will get to that ASAP!!
