Apartment Living: Part II

Contacting the manager was the right thing to do.

When I got home last night, there was a friendly reminder from management about noise (which was distributed to everyone in the building). My daughter read it and she got upset again. So I decided to formulate an email to my apartment manager.

I just heard back from her and she completely understands and agrees with me on this neighbor's behavior.

Sometimes, assertiveness can be a good thing. :-)

  6. Glad the manager understands! I'm just glad we never had to live in an apartment - people would have complained about our cats running about. And meowing in the middle of the night when "hunting" their toys *g*.

  7. Good for you, I'd always keep the management informed, if even for your own peace of mind.

  8. Here's a fun idea. If the neighbor complains to you again, tell her you and your daughter were gone all week and perhaps her apartment is haunted.

Good for you, Melissa! Let your daughter know that we support her. Puppy it up, baby!

  11. Apartment living is hard! I've been dealing with this for years. I'm sorry you have to, as well. Glad it's working out though.

  12. Good call! Having lived in apts you have to realize that there is 'regular' noise of people giong about their lives, and then over the top noise. I usually didn't even worry too much about that either unless it was going on late at night when I was trying to sleep.
