Or more appropriately, where's my husband's SUV?
He woke up this morning to go to work - 5 a.m. - and came back in a few minutes later and said, "Someone stole my truck!" (I always tell him it's a SUV - Ford Explorer - but he insists it's a truck.)
Yup. Someone smashed the glass in his front window, hot-wired the ignition, and took off. Hubby was all packed to go on a trip to Western Nebraska today and everything is gone. Clothes, shoes, everything.
Sigh...
The only good thing I see in this whole ordeal is that the truck was paid off - we don't have to pay on something we no longer own.
So it's an early morning for me - just nearing 6:05 a.m. My daughter is already up. I think both of us are going to need naps tonight!

All right. Enough with the down-in-the dumps posts. I realized that I had way too many of them in the past few weeks and I am bumming myself...
Oh that's terrible. We had our car stolen once (dad dropped his keys in the yard while on his way out on a fishing trip). It's such a surreal feeling, not quite like having the house robbed, but disconcerting and very inconvenient. But like you said, at least it's paid for.

ReplyDeleteYup - and he keeps remembering things he had in there. His satellite radio, cell phone, title to his motorcycle, CD's, even his work boots.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't insurance cover something? I had my car stolen a couple of years ago. Ended up getting the car back, but not all my stuff in it.

ReplyDeleteWe only had liability on that vehicle, so I doubt that we'll have coverage on his stuff. :-(
