My daughter and my husband had a blast on the 4th of July. Since her half-brothers are in Kentucky with their mom, it was just her and her dad shooting off fireworks last night and she thoroughly enjoyed herself. And of course, her dad spoiled her just a tiny bit. They had so many that they were up until after 11 p.m. shooting them off!
Everywhere you looked last night there were fireworks - rather cool. And in the midst of it all, the fireflies were celebrating their independence, too. :-)
I have a feeling not many people are going to feel motivated to go to work today, me included. But at least it will be a short work week.
How was your 4th?

All right. Enough with the down-in-the dumps posts. I realized that I had way too many of them in the past few weeks and I am bumming myself...
I was totally unmotivated to go to work today...then again, I'm totally unmotivated to go to work every day and I'm in Canada so I can't even use the 4th for an excuse. However we did have a lovely thunder and lightening storm that lasted half the night last night and kept my dog up, which meant she kept me up...so I have a legitimate reason for being half asleep in my coffee mug this morning.
ReplyDeleteWe had a good time. Mom managed to stay up for the entire party. Sounds like y'all had a fun evening.
ReplyDeleteSounds like fun. Fireworks are illegal in my area so we skipped them. We had pie.
ReplyDeleteWe didn't do fireworks on Saturday - the dog is TERRIFIED of them and we were all exhausted after a long day outside. Wish we coulda seen yours. Sounds like it was lots of fun :-)
ReplyDeleteI had a great fourth of July, thank you lol, it was my anniversary. 8 long years of patience and understanding are wearing thinner and thinner just like my hair lol. I'm happy your fourth was fun
