It's Spring!

Even though we had a relatively mild Nebraska winter, and I'm one of those weird people who loves winter, I'm ready for spring. Here in eastern Nebraska, flowers are blooming, trees have buds and beautiful white flowers, and the grass is already green. I'm loving it.

I'm also ready to get back to my writing projects. Going home over the weekend set me back a bit since I was involved in the alumni basketball tournament we had (I didn't play - I helped since my two brothers are the organizers).

My surgery is coming up April 3 - and I'll have four weeks off to recover. I'm hoping I'll feel well enough to go sit outside and enjoy the lovely weather!

  1. The flowers are coming up here, but just yesterday it was snowing...again! We're in some kind of weird weather pattern. But the combination of blooming cherry trees and falling snow was unbelievably beautiful.

I hope you get some gorgeous spring weather to enjoy during your recovery!

    1. I am betting there is still one more spring snowstorm to hit us. It usually does. But with any lucky, that will happen the first week of my recovery when I probably won't feel like leaving the house at all! ;-)

  2. I'm another of those strange people who love winter but I'm really excited by spring this year, too. Lovely to see the trees in bud - and I've seen the first lambs skipping around in the sunshine.

I hope you get lovely weather and can 'enjoy' your 4 weeks as much as possible.

  3. Yay for Spring! I'm not a huge fan of winter so spring is great.

And we'll all be praying for you for a quick recovery with many flowers and lots of good writing time.

  5. It's been wonderfully mild up here, too, milder than it usually is in March. Of course, they're predicting it's going to get cold again later in the week, but I'm loving the open windows and sunshine right now! I hope your surgery goes well and you have a good recovery (and good writing!).

  6. And we're heading into winter down here, but like you I enjoy winter.

I hope all goes well with your surgery and that you have lots of opportunities to sit outside in the sunshine as you recuperate.

  7. What an unusual winter it's been here in New England ... No snow other than our October fiasco that left us without power for a week, and warm, warm, warm. Thursday it's supposed to be in the mid-80s here!

    1. We had a few snowstorms, and then one gigantic one about a month and a half ago. Other than that, it's been mild!

  8. I'm feeling much the same; I did some weeding yesterday, hope to finish that project today. And perhaps start a new novel in April; ahh spring!!

Will be keeping you covered in prayer for peace of mind as the date approaches, then a successful healing afterwards. Until then, enjoy these warming days pottering around! :)))
