Back from the Homestead

Had a wonderful Thanksgiving with my family and wish I didn't have to come back so soon. But that darn paycheck must be made and the kids have to get their education, I suppose. :-)

Ate some great food - the raviolis were superb!- had great conversation and even went to see Casino Royale again with my two brothers, my niece, and my dad. They didn't like it as well as me, but ah well, can't win 'em all.

I even managed to sit down with my manuscript and edit a bit while the kids were playing. My niece and nephew and my daughter had a great time playing together, and I really wish we lived closer than we do.

Right now, I'm trying to recover from that really really long drive. Thank goodness my brother came back with me - he drove the entire way. It's a 450 mile trip and it's pretty much a straight line down the interstate.

How was your Thanksgiving?

  5. So glad you had a nice weekend, Melissa! We traveled a little more than usual, though nothing too straining. And the best part was, I didn't even have to cook! Just took along little hostess gifts, which I already had on hand. :D All holidays should be so easy.

  7. Sounds like a fantastic Thanksgiving :-) We saw CR and loved it too. Glad you had a great weekend, though the drive sounds pretty awful. Still, for ravioli, I bet it was worth it *g*.

What a Difference a Day (or Two) Made...

Dinah Washington sings a wonderful tune called "What a Difference a Day Made." While the lyrics are romantic in nature, it perfect...
