The More I Think About It...

I think I'm going to take the dress back. Yes, it is beautiful. Yes, I feel like a princess when I wear it. But I'm going to be too overdressed. And while I say that now I don't care, I'm pretty sure that will change once I get to the party. Sigh...

Mom and I are going to the mall tonight. I hope to pick out one a little less fancy. And a little less expensive!

  2. How frustrating for you! It's an age-old problem we women face. None of us likes to appear a) over-dressed or b) under-dressed BUT, it's so hard to judge WHAT the level of dressiness will be *groan*. I go through it every year with the CBC party.

Feel bad you're taking your princess dress back. Can't you save it for another occasion? If not, hope you find something else that makes you feel as good.

Aawww! Geez. And we would have all looked so pretty in that dress! hahaha I would go for something black, sensible, that can get dressed up or down depending on the acoutrements (sp?). :)

Keep us informed of your fashion choice!

  5. Can you at least post a picture of yourself in the dress first? I'd love to see what nice clothes actually look like. I'm fashion-challenged, which means that the insecurity you feel about being over- or under-dressed is how I feel virtually every time I leave the house. ;-) I usually have to make sure that one of my friends is wearing something similar to what I have picked out for the even. My husband's office Christmas party has long been the bane of my existance.

What a Difference a Day (or Two) Made...

Dinah Washington sings a wonderful tune called "What a Difference a Day Made." While the lyrics are romantic in nature, it perfect...
