Jumpin' for Joy!

When I woke up this morning, I didn't know what to wear. So I walked into my closet and thought, well, let's just try on this pair of black jeans and see what happens.

They fit.

Not only did they fit, but they were comfy enough to wear to work!

I haven't been able to wear this particular pair of jeans for probably two years!

I don't know how many pounds I've lost, but I know I'm losing inches. I was so excited I literally jumped up and down in my apartment. When I woke up my daughter, I told her about it, as well, and I said, "Mommy's tummy is starting to go away!" and she hugged me and said, "You're going to be skinny!" :-)

I just have to remind myself that it's going to take time to lose it all, but I love seeing results right now, no matter how small they may be.

In Writing News...

Did some research last night, but no writing. I was wiped out and just sat on the couch and read a book. I've come to a sticky plot point and I've been trying to work it out in my mind during odd moments of the day. Hopefully I'll find a solution soon.

  1. Woohoo!!! I'm dancing for ya! This is awesome! I just love it when you can get into a pair of jeans you haven't been able to wear in years. I have a pair from when Jeff and I first married. They are actually blue/pink cause I washed them with reds. ugh. But... I want to get back to that size. It's my goal in life. Well, along with being a good mom, wife, daughter and getting published. hehe

    I'm so excited for you!

Those odd moments to think can really pay off, can't they? Sometimes those short bursts are more productive than locking yourself in a room to beat the solution of you.

Yay! I've lost a bit of weight too. About time to get on the right track again.

I hate sticky points in plots. I think that is why one of the reasons that I have so many WIPs. when I hit a snag in one, I can flip over into another.

Way to go! I know exactly how you feel, I lost 50 pounds a couple of years ago and have kept it off. I love going shopping now. It's hard work, but so worth it in the end. A friend gave me a great slogan while I was losing, "Nothing tastes as good as thin feels." I love it. :-)

Good luck on the plotting. I think letting it sit in your subconcious can help as your mind works on it even when you don't realize it.

  7. Don't you LOVE that! I tried on a pair of dress pants I've been trying to get back into and I am 99% there. And I'm starting to see the ridges back in my stomach. Now if my thighs would just cooperate...

Dinah Washington sings a wonderful tune called "What a Difference a Day Made." While the lyrics are romantic in nature, it perfect...
