Hubby snores.
Daughter crawls into my bed at 2 a.m.
Stepson sets alarm for 5 a.m. and doesn't shut it off.
I was exhausted last night. But do you think I could go to sleep? I was in bed by 9 p.m. Hubby and I watched Wedding Crashers (just out on DVD) and then I went to bed. But I don't think I fell asleep until 11:30. Why, why, why???
I think I need my own bed. In a dark corner in the basement. With a door. That locks.

Dinah Washington sings a wonderful tune called "What a Difference a Day Made." While the lyrics are romantic in nature, it perfect...

All right. Enough with the down-in-the dumps posts. I realized that I had way too many of them in the past few weeks and I am bumming myself...
well, I'm thinking a need a nice secluded cottage on the beach somewhere so that I can get some sleep after having a houseful of males for the Christmas "break".
ReplyDeleteOh yeah!! Separate bed sounds lovely (in a cottage somewhere lovely ;-))
ReplyDelete11.30 would be early for me!! DD and DH are the polar opposite of me and DS always wakes up for an hour in the night! Nightmare :(
Insomnia SUCKS!!!
ReplyDeleteHow was the movie?
Amy, the movie is HILARIOUS. Check it out, but don't watch it with the kiddos. It's definitely an adult movie.
ReplyDeleteAs I type this, hubby is snoring on the couch upstairs and it's 11:28 p.m. Sigh...
Kacey, so good to see you back!!!
ReplyDeleteIf you get that bed, in the basement, with a door... that locks. Let me know how you did it, ok?
ReplyDeletethanks, Melissa, it's good to be back!
ReplyDeleteIt still think my idea of the beach cottage...somewhere sunny and warm...is the best suggestion...
I can NOT tell you how familiar this blog is. Like I've heard it somewhere before... ;-)
ReplyDeleteI know how you feel, and I sympathize. I don't have the stepson, but my #1 fan sets his alarm to go off 2 hours early EVERY SINGLE NIGHT, then hits snooze literally 2 dozen times. I can't even remember what six full hours of sleep felt like.
Rachel, I swear we're living in a parallel universe. ;-)
ReplyDeleteDana, if I ever do manage to figure this one out, I'll definitely let you know. :-)
