Maybe in the future, though?

And no, I haven't read that post, but I'm off to read it now!Melissa Amateishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16086267508858187716noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12150605.post-39949714576708951092008-08-21T09:05:00.000-06:002008-08-21T09:05:00.000-06:00I used to teach at a community collge and I loved ...I used to teach at a community collge and I loved this time of year! Part excitement, part nostalgia, and a wee bit satisfaction that now I was on the other side of the desk... :)

Melissa, have you seen Libba Bray's blog on the love affair with one's novel? It's not only spot-on, it's absolutely hilarious:

http://libba-bray.livejournal.com/36896.htmlChristine Fletcherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17350760019997430843noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12150605.post-25204386051353748132008-08-21T07:17:00.000-06:002008-08-21T07:17:00.000-06:00Diane - If I could just sit in class and not have ...Diane - If I could just sit in class and not have to worry about homework or tests, I could probably be a forever student, too. :-)Melissa Amateishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16086267508858187716noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12150605.post-56874305497230702962008-08-21T04:35:00.000-06:002008-08-21T04:35:00.000-06:00I love university campus so much I should have bee...I love university campus so much I should have been a forever student.Dianehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06430125606844410229noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12150605.post-79200989052067999942008-08-20T12:42:00.000-06:002008-08-20T12:42:00.000-06:00Anissa - I liked school a lot more the second time...Anissa - I liked school a lot more the second time around. Much more focused. But I also experience it if I wait too long between projects.

Travis - Oh, college was such a blast for me. Granted, I went to a small school for undergrad, but still had tons of fun.

Tess - Since I work downtown, I can really feel the energy of the new school year starting. I even went to the bookstore and saw everyone walking around getting their textbooks. Part of me wanted to be them, the other part was glad I was done!

Joanne - Thanks for visiting! And isn't that feeling of "anything can happen" at the beginning of a novel just great? :-)Melissa Amateishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16086267508858187716noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12150605.post-64182009296941812602008-08-20T12:34:00.000-06:002008-08-20T12:34:00.000-06:00I absolutely loved school. I can lose myself in the writing, but in between, when I have to deal with the business -- that's where I lose perspective.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12150605.post-30524509907345904092008-08-20T06:55:00.000-06:002008-08-20T06:55:00.000-06:00I hope my students are the cleaned up and excited ...I hope my students are the cleaned up and excited ones.Brianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18333781590488926550noreply@blogger.com
